Hey y'all, I'm at MFF right now, meeting and greeting new people. I don't know how to work this thing so it'll link to someone else's DA, but you should totally check out
[link] and hit him up. Totally, totally awesome dude with hardcore kickass artist skills. I'm positive that I'm going to have him do the large painting that I've wanted done for a while, because I love his style.
As for ME, well, honestly, seeing Zill's work and all the other artists' work here, I'm seriously going to buckle down when I get back off of leave and start putting more stuff out. Things I've noticed I suck at:
"Static" poses - Lots of folks look....I don't know...Like it's a forced pose for them. I really, really want to improve this, 'cause I think it'll add that much more depth to my work.
Stock models - I'm really, really serious about making my own models, this is something that I think will make me feel more like a true render artist. Right now...I'm just clicking through the screens and standing on other people's shoulders. Plus, if I get it down, I won't have to worry about how much this set of armor or that horse model costs, and I tool everything to my own needs.
Deuces!
